Kirsteen Farrar was our judge today.  Lovely big and carpeted rings are just to Graces liking and she did not let herself down, moving at her best.  Grace won Open Bitch and then went on to take the Bitch CC and Best of Breed.  A fabulous way to end the year.

 

 

 

 

A long trip to Edinburgh.  Mrs I Ostenk Schenk gave Grace the reserve CC. 

 

 

Midland Counties Championship Show.  Our judge today was Mrs M Cox who gave Grace the Reserve Bitch CC.

 

 

 

Newfoundland Club Championship Show.  What a day!  Roger Vincent judged the bitches and Grace won Open Bitch, moving a dream and went on to win the Bitch CC.  In the challenge, Roger and Paddy Galvin could not agree so it was down to the referee Gill Barker who gave Grace BEST in SHOW!!!!  Thanks to all concerned, what a fab day for Gracie.

 

 

 

 

Driffield.  Back to Yorkshire for the final of the 4 days Champion stakes competition.  The final was held immediately before the Best in Show so the ring was packed and Grace loved every minute of it - pounding around the big ring.  The competition was very strong - every dog was a winner and we were over the moon when Grace was declared the overall winner.  She is now a Grand Finalist for the January cometition against all the other Champion Stakes winners!

 

 

 

Driffield Championship show.  After the recent mud baths we finally had a sunny show.  Judge Robin Searle gave Gracie 1st in Open and RCC .  Finally made a Champion Stakes Class and what a good one to make - Judge Ernie Patterson gave Grace a 1st place among Working and Terrier group champions.

 

 

Darlington Championship show.  Dreadful mud!  Gracie 2nd in Open Bitch and RCC.  B Banbury.

 

 

Scottish Kennel Club Championship show.  Judge Bill Piggott judged us indoors and gave Grace 1st in open and the Bitch CC.  Gracies 17th and her 10th in 2008!

 

 

 

Bournemouth Championship show. Peter Oriani gave Grace 1st in Open and the reserve CC.

 

 

Paignton Championship show.  Linda Sussams judging, gave Grace 2nd in open followed by the reserve CC.  Once again we missed the Champion Stakes as it was on at the same time as the breed classes!

 

 

 

Leeds Championship show.  Ann Arch was our judge today on a very hot Summer day which meant that we were judged indoors.  Grace managed the heat well and won her class and wen on to win the Bitch CC No 16.  This was the last show in July which has been a great month with Grace taking  3 CCs of the 4 available this month!

 

 

 

East of England Championship show.  Our judge today was Ian Sexton.  Grace won the open class and then took the Bitch CC No 15.

 

 

 

National Working & Pastoral Breeds Championship show.  Mrs Pat  Chadwick was our judge today in the sun and rain.  Grace was 1st in a strong open class and went on to take Bitch CC No 14 and her 8th Best of Breed.

 

In the Working Group, Grace was still on fine form for Judge Liz Cartledge and pounded around the ring, making the cut and then being placed Group 4.  A fantastic result.

 

 

 

South Wales Championship Show.  Dreadful rain and mud was what greeted us at our nearest show!  3rd in open bitch under Marion Spavin. 

 

Grace was entered in the Pedigree Champion Stakes under judge Meg Purnell-Carpenter.  In a class of only Champions from the working and Pastoral Groups, Grace went well in the big ring and took 1st place, making her one of the four winners at the show.  After a long wait we were back in the ring after the Groups and Grace had to compete against the 3 winners from the other days.  With the added incentive of performing in front of an audience she saved the best till last and flew around the main ring.  Competition was very strong and while she did not win, we were so pleased to see her get runner up over the four days.

 

 

Windsor Championship show.  Our judge today was Sue Garner on a warm summer day for a change.  Grace was in a very strong Open class and we were delighted that she went 1st and went on to win the Bitch CC.

 

 

What a Day!  Blackpool Championship show.  All rounder Jeff Horswell judged Newfies today and in high winds gave Sheridel Nzo, Graces Litter brother the dog CC - his third and makes him up on the day.  Bitches were judged under cover and Grace was in excellent form, winning open bitch and going on to take her 12th CC.  We were then ecstatic to see brother and sister in the best of breed run off and even more ecstatic when Grace won, her seventh best of breed.  Frank Kane was to have been the Group judge but before the group took place, the show was abandoned due to freak winds blowing several marquees away and causing some injuries so we were relieved to get back in the van and head for home.

 

 

Border Union Championship show.  Our judge today was Breed specialist Suzanne Archer.  Grace moved fabulously on a very hot day in a strong open bitch class to take first place.  In the Challenge Grace had the Bitch CC number 11.  A long way but another wonderful visit to Scotland.

 

 

Southern Counties Championship Show.  Jeff Luscott was our judge today and Grace was 2nd in open bitch and went on to take the reserve bitch CC. 

 

 

Bath Championship Show.  Grace had her first placing in the Champion Stakes,  VHC under Mrs Isobel Dyke

 

 

Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show.  Gracie reaches a milestone!!    Our Judge today was Stuart Mallard who gave Grace 1st in Open and then the Bitch CC, her 10th CC!!  To top this, she also went Best of Breed her 6th.  Grace has taken the Bitch ticket in her last three shows, we are so proud of her.

 

In a very strong Working Group, Grace went like a train and Judge Mrs Zena Thorn-Andrews placed Grace in Working Group 3 position equalling her previous best from Bournemouth 2007.  What a fantastic day!!!!!

 

 

Birmingham National Championship show.  Our judge today was Mrs Esther Denham who gave Grace 1st in Open and she went on to get the Bitch CC.  Another fantastic day and puts her on 9CCs with 5 best of breeds.

 

 

Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales Championship show.  Mrs Judy Oriani judges Newfies and gave Grace 1st in Open, Bitch CC and she went on to be Best of Breed.  A very good day and now 8CCs with 5 Best of Breeds.

 

 

Hedd judging at Crufts so a year off for us with Gracie!  Good to watch from Ringside and a great day!
