Our judge today was Gill Barker. No Grace at the show today but a busy day with the juniors. 2nd for Danny in Junior and VHC for Chance in Post Graduate. The girls were on top form though with April winning Junior and Star in only her fourth champ show winning Post Graduate. A great day all round!
12 June 2010 Three Counties
A fabulous day for Grace in the stakes class. The judge for the Eukanuba Special Champions Stakes was Mr Mark Cocozza, who had judged all the champions over the four days of the show. It was a very hot day for Newfies but as usual, Grace gave it her all! we were over the moon that Grace won the class on the day and then competed against the three winners from the previous day and Mr Cocozza awarded her the win. This repeats Graces success from 2008 when she qualified for the Champion Stakes Grand Final, she has now qualified twice which we think is a fabulous achievement. The final is in October so plenty of time to stress out!!
30 May 2010 Bath
A short trip across to Bath nwhere our judge was Mr Peter Oriani. Chance made his Champ show debut and loved every minute. He was third in Junior dog. April was second in Junior Bitch class. Newxt was Graces turn and we were thrilled to bits when she was first in Open Bitch and then won the CC and Best of Breed. Three tickets and three best of breeds in three shows and Grace is in fantastic form. 22 Tickets.
21 May 2010 Scottish Kennel Club
Another long journey to Scotland and very worthwhile. Our Breed judge was Jack Bispham who gave both Danny and April 1st in their junior classes. Grace was next and we were thrilled to win the open class and then go on to win the CC and Best of Breed. Short listed in the Group by Terry Munro. Grace now sits on Ticket number 21.
9 May 2010 Birmingham National
Today our judge was Robin Searle. Danny was 1st in Junior. Grace had a fantastic day! First in Open Bitch followed by the CC and then Best of Breed. In the Group, Terry Nethercott pulled Grace into the short list and we were thrilled to bits when she went Group 2. A best ever result for Grace and Ticket number 20!
25 April 2010 WELKS
Jeff Luscott was our judge today giving Danny a first in Junior and April 3rd in Junior. Grace back in the showring again and was second in Open Bitch.

Our nearest Champ show so a nice short journey. Our judge today was Roger Vincent . A good day with Danny 2nd in Junior and 1st in Novice. April was 1st in Junior and 1st in Novice.

Alphabear April Showers first in special puppy and going on to take best puppy in breed. Our judge Ann Springthorpe also gave Danny third in special puppy dog. Well done also to Rob and Sandy with Zoey who was third in Special Puppy Bitch and to Barry Carr with Bjorn who was VHC in the Special Puppy Dog class. A very long day but worth it to see the pups doing so well in their final puppy classes at Champ shows.

Cardiff Open show. April 1st in puppy bitch under breed judge Steve Walker. In the puppy group Judge Moray Armstrong gave her Puppy group 1. The following day we were over the moon when John Thirell made April his best puppy in show. Wow what a fortnight for our little April.

After all of the snow it was nice to get to our first champ show of the year at Manchester and it was well worth it! Danny was 1st in Puppy Dog with brother Bjorn in 2nd. In the puppy bitch class, April was 1st so a good day. But in the bitch Challenge, judge Stuart Mallard gave April the reserve CC, A fab result at 10 months!

Working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland. Road trip to Scotland and everyone behaved so well. Gracie 2nd in Open Bitch. Danny 3rd in Puppy dog, April 3rd in Puppy Bitch. Sister Zoe was 2nd in Puppy Bitch for Sandy and Rob. Well done all.

South Wales Kennel Association Championship show. Another good day for the babies. Danny second in minor puppy dog, April 1st in minor puppy bitch and best bitch puppy. A gentle return to showing for Grace with a third in Open Bitch - a bit of a shock to her that she had to work again after being a lady of leisure for 10 months.

Puppies make their debut!
Driffield Championship show. A long trip north for the babies but we were very pleased with their first day. Judge was Mrs Wendy Lowe. A 1st for Danny in Minor Puppy dog, a 2nd for April in Minor puppy bitch. Star drew the short straw and went in Puppy bitch with the bigger girls but managed to get a 4th which was fantastic!
In the Purina Puppy Stakes, Danny and April were entered and from two large entries both were 2nd! The judge was Mr Ernie Patterson.

Pedigree Champion Stakes Final
Midland Counties Showground
A fab way to start the year with a showing among some of the elite show dogs in the UK. The Judge was Mr Bob Gregory and had over 20 Champions who had qualified for the final at 2008 Championship shows. Grace had qualified at Driffield in October under Mr Ernie Patterson. It was an honour to be the only Newfoundland at this prestigious event and Grace as usual did not let herself or us down, moving a dream and enjoying herself in the big ring. Mr Gregory thought so too and pulled Grace out in his final cut of 8 dogs which was a massive achievement for our young star! Way to go Gracie!
No shows for a while now as we are in the off season.
